Carolina's mother used to be a figure skater (coached by her grandmother!). Her father is an icehockey coach. She has two brothers, Martin and Simon. Simon plays hockey as well. Isolde Kostner (famous skier) is Carolina's cousin and godmother. Carolina speaks Ladinic (a rhaeto romanic language), German, Italian, English and French.
